2. Raise the front of the vehicle and place on stands.
3. Remove the crankcase and drain the oil.
4. Remove the starter.
5. Remove brackets securing the bell housing to the engine.
6. Remove the pendulum arm.
7. On 4x2 vehicles, remove the stabilizer bar brackets.
8. On 4x2 vehicles, remove the subframe.
9. On 4x4 vehicles, remove the front gear bracket.
10. Remove transmission mounts.
11. Disconnect from collectors exhaust pipes.
12. Hang the power unit on a hoist or place a jack under it.
13. Turn away bolts of fastening of support of the engine to a frame.
14. Raise the engine slightly, being careful.
15. Turn away bolts and remove the pallet.
16. Thoroughly clean the split planes of the cylinder block and sump from seal residues. Drive and clean the threaded holes in the cylinder block.

18. Install the gasket on the pallet, install the pallet and tighten the bolts evenly in a cross pattern with the specified torque (photo).
