2. Remove the flywheel or torque converter drive plate.
3. Pry and carefully remove the oil seal (photo).

4. Lubricate the new oil seal with molybdenum grease.
5. Put the oil seal on the crankshaft and carefully press it in with soft-faced hammer blows.
6. When the surface of the gland is flush with the holder, carefully press the gland until it stops by hitting the brass rod (photo).

7. Remaining operations are carried out in reverse order.
