2. Remove the timing belt, valve body, intake manifold, camshaft sprockets.
3. Loosen the bolts and remove the rear belt cover (photo).

Removal the left head
4. Remove the compressor and set it aside without disconnecting the lines.
5. Remove the distributor, generator, generator bracket and exhaust manifold.
6. Remove the valve mechanism parts.
7. Unscrew the cylinder head bolts evenly and gradually and store them in their original order (photo).

8. Loosen the small bolt at the bottom of the head (photo) and carefully remove the head.

9. Remove the power steering pump and set it aside.
10. Remove the exhaust manifold, valve train components and unscrew the cylinder head bolts (see above).
11. Loosen the small bolt at the bottom of the head and carefully remove the cylinder head
Installation
12. Carefully clean the separating surfaces of the block and head, grind down minor irregularities, and smooth and clean all threaded holes.
13. Place a new gasket on the block (photo).

14. Screw the cylinder head bolts back into place by hand. The flat part of the bolt washers should face the cylinder head (photo).

15. Tighten the bolts in 5 stages to the specified torque in the sequence shown (photo).
16. The remaining operations are performed in reverse order. Change the oil and filter.
