General information about the toxicity reduction system (Nissan Terrano 1)
The system is designed to reduce emissions of nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons into the atmosphere. Improper maintenance of the toxicity reduction system or failure of individual system components leads to deterioration of the engine's traction qualities and reduced fuel economy. Information about the specific exhaust gas cleaning system that the vehicle is equipped with is indicated on the plate on the back of the hood. It also shows the layout of the vacuum lines of your vehicle, which may differ from that given in this manual (photo).
