1. The forced crankcase ventilation system is designed to reduce the content of hydrocarbons in engine emissions by scavenging the crankcase. Fresh air taken from the air filter is mixed in the internal space of the engine with crankcase gases and is directed through the spool of the ventilation system for afterburning in the engine cylinders.
2. Care of the system consists in checking the cleanliness of the connecting hoses and the spool. To check the spool, remove it from the rubber boot in the cylinder head cover and shake it. If a knock is heard, then the spool is working. Otherwise, replace the spool.
