Examination
1. The solenoid valve of the fuel pressure regulator ensures that a vacuum is applied to the regulator at the time of starting a hot engine and increases the injection pressure.
2. The valve needs to be checked if the operation of the retor when the hose is connected from the valve fails, and when artificially creating a vacuum, the regulator works normally.
3. Disconnect the connector from the valve and check the voltage from the battery. A closed valve should not allow air to pass through.
4. Replace the defective valve.
Replacement
Solenoid valve
5. Disconnect the wires and hoses and unscrew the valve
6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
Regulator
7. Decompress.
8. Disconnect the battery from the ground.
9. Loosen clamps, label and disconnect 2 fuel hoses (photo).

1. Vacuum hose; 2. Regulator
10. Disconnect the vacuum hose and fuel temperature sensor connector.
11. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the fuel return hose from the bottom of the regulator.
12. Turn away bolts and remove a regulator.
Installation
13. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
