The fuel shut-off valve on the injection pump opens the fuel supply when the ignition is turned on. It should be checked if the engine does not start or continues to run when the ignition is turned off.
1. Ask an assistant to turn on the ignition, while the valve should click.
2. Disconnect the plug connection of the fuel shut-off valve.
3. Connect a voltmeter or LED voltage tester to the cable harness plug and ground. Turn on the battery ignition (12V). Otherwise, check the wiring according to the diagram.
4. Connect an ohmmeter between the valve terminal and ground. The resistance should be 0 ohm.
5. If necessary, unscrew the valve and check the ease of movement of the piston and the condition of the spring.
6. Insert a new fuel shutoff valve and tighten to 20 Nm. Attach the cable.
7. Remove air from the supply system.
