Checking/adjusting idle speed and maximum speed
Since diesel engines do not have an ignition system, a special tachometer operating on photocells is required.
1. Warm up the engine to operating temperature. Coolant temperature min. +80°C.
2. Electrical consumers (radio, light) must be turned off.
3. Connect the tachometer.
4. Rev the engine 2-3 times and let it idle.
5. Set the handbrake.
6. Check the idle speed.
7. If the idle speed is not set correctly, loosen the lock nut and adjust the speed by turning the adjusting screw (1). After adjustment, lock the screw.

Caution: Do not turn other screws.
Checking/adjusting the maximum number of revolutions
1. Check the throttle adjustment.
2. Press the gas pedal fully and check the maximum RPM.
3. If the maximum speed is set incorrectly, loosen the lock nut and adjust the speed by turning the adjusting screw. After adjustment, lock the screw and install a new seal.
Caution: Do not turn other screws.
4. Disconnect the tachometer.
Damper adjustment
1. Start and warm up the engine until the coolant temperature gauge needle reaches the middle of the scale.
2. Connect the tachometer.
3. Increase the speed with the lever and slowly release it until the adjusting screw touches the damper. The speed should be 1300 rpm.
4. If necessary, set the required number of revolutions using the adjusting screw.
