Checking/adjusting idle speed and maximum speed
Since diesel engines do not have an ignition system, a special photovoltaic tachometer is required.
1. Warm up the engine to operating temperature. Coolant temperature min. +80°С.
2. Electrical consumers (radio, light) must be turned off.
3. Connect a tachometer.
4. RPM the engine 2-3 times and let it idle.
5. Engage the handbrake.
6. Check the idle speed.
7. If the idle speed is set incorrectly, loosen the lock nut and adjust the idle speed by turning the adjusting screw (1). Lock the screw after adjustment.
Attention! Do not turn other screws.
Checking/adjusting the maximum speed
1. Check throttle adjustment.
2. Fully depress the gas pedal and check the maximum speed.
3. If the maximum speed is set incorrectly, loosen the lock nut and adjust the speed by turning the adjusting screw. After adjustment, lock the screw and install a new seal.
Attention! Do not turn other screws.
4. Disconnect the tachometer.
Damper adjustment
1. Start and warm up the engine until the pointer of the coolant temperature gauge reaches the middle of the scale.
2. Connect a tachometer.
3. Increase the number of revolutions using the lever and slowly release until the adjusting screw touches the damper. The number of revolutions should be 1300 rpm.
4. If necessary, set the desired speed with the adjusting screw.
