Make sure the clamp screws do not touch the surrounding parts.
1. Reset fuel pressure to zero.
2. Connect a pressure gauge between the fuel filter and the fuel rail.
3. Start the engine and check for fuel leaks.
4. Read the pressure gauge at idle. Pressure for GA engines, kPa (kgf/cm2):
- Vacuum hose attached approx. - 245 (2,5)
- Vacuum hose disconnected - about 294 (3,0)
Pressure for SR engine, kPa (kgf/cm2):
- Vacuum hose attached approx. - 235 (2,4)
- Vacuum hose disconnected - about 294 (3,0)
If the pressure is significantly different from the specified, check the pressure regulator as follows:
- a) Stop the engine and disconnect the pressure regulator vacuum hose from the intake manifold. Close the manifold opening with a rubber stopper.
- b) Attach a hand vacuum pump to the pressure regulator and check if the fuel pressure decreases as the vacuum increases. If not, replace the pressure regulator.
