Cars with floor selector
1. Move the selector from position P to "1", and you should feel the lock engage in all intermediate positions. If you do not feel the lock engage, or the indicator does not match the markings, then the rod needs to be adjusted.
2. Move the selector to position P.
3. Loosen the lock nuts (photo).

Rear wheel drive cars
4. Tighten the lock nut X (photo) until it stops against the selector bracket, pressing the lever in the direction of position R (do not press the button).
5. Loosen lock nut X 1/2-1/4 turn and tighten to the specified torque.

All-wheel drive vehicles since 1987.
6. Pressing the lever in the direction of position R (do not press the button), tighten the screw tie until the tie is aligned with the cable core (photo).

7. Loosen the clamp by 1 turn and tighten the lock nuts to the specified torque.
8. Move the selector from position P to "1" and make sure that the selector moves smoothly.
Cars with a selector on the steering column
9. Move the selector from position P to "1", and you should feel the lock engage in all intermediate positions. If you do not feel the lock engage, or the indicator does not match the sector markings, then the rod needs to be adjusted.
10. Move the selector to position P.
11. Loosen the lock nuts (photo).

12. Tighten the lock nut A (photo) until it stops against the bracket, pressing the lever in the direction of position R (do not press the button).

13. Loosen lock nut A by 2 turns and tighten nut B to the specified torque.
14. Move the selector from position P to "1" and make sure that the selector moves smoothly.
