Removal
1. Raise the rear of the vehicle and place stands under the body.
2. Support the rear axle under the gearbox housing with a trolley and jack.
3. Remove the wheels.
4. Disconnect the cardan shaft from the gearbox.
5. Disconnect the handbrake cable and the brake hydraulic lines (Ch. 10).
6. Loosen the lower mounting nuts of both shock absorbers and compress the shock absorbers.
7. Disconnect the stabilizer rods from the body (Ch. 11).
8. Disconnect the upper and lower longitudinal rods.

9. Disconnect the crossbar from the rear axle (Ch. 11).
10. Carefully lower the rear axle and remove the springs (the procedure for removing and installing the springs is described in Ch. 11).
Installation
11. If you plan to replace the rear axle beam, remove the rear brake assembly, axle shafts and gearbox and move all parts to the new beam
12. The bridge is installed in reverse order.
