Attention! Cardan joints on some vehicles are not replaceable. Before disassembling the cardan shaft, consult with the spare parts supplier.
The crosspiece bearing retaining rings are matched by thickness. In order not to disturb the balance of the cardan shaft, the new crosspiece retaining rings must be exactly the same thickness as the ones being replaced (see Technical data).
1. Mark the relative positions of all hinge parts.
2. Clean the fork from dirt and remove the retaining rings (photo).
13.2 To remove the retaining ring, knock it out by hitting it with a hammer and a screwdriver

13.6 Installing retaining rings
Attention! Before installation, lubricate the retaining rings with consistent grease. Install the retaining rings in their original places (photo), taking into account that the thickness of the retaining rings of the diametrically opposite bearings should not differ by more than 0.06 mm.
