Cuff replacement can be performed on the installed mechanism.
1. Raise the front of the car and unscrew the wheel.
2. Disconnect the tie rod ball joint from the steering arm.
3. Loosen the jam nut next to the tie rod end and unscrew the end, counting the number of turns to completely remove the end.
4. Loosen the clamping collars on the inside of the tie rod and the small collar on the outside and remove the cuff.
5. Put on a new cuff and secure inside.
6. Screw the tie rod end onto the tie rod the same number of turns as when removing.
7. Attach the tie rod end to the steering arm and tighten the castle nut to 37-46 Nm. Insert new pin.
8. After installation, check and, if necessary, adjust the wheel alignment.
