All vehicles covered in this manual are equipped with rack and pinion steering. The connection from the rack is made directly to the steering arms on the steering knuckles of the front suspension. Most of the models described are equipped with power steering.
The steering column is designed on the principle of a safety column that folds in the event of a frontal impact. For this reason, when working on the steering column, proceed with extreme caution; no hammer blows or the like are allowed in this area.
If you have little experience with rack and pinion steering, you can safely get to work.
