All vehicles covered in this manual are equipped with rack and pinion steering. The connection from the rack and pinion is made directly to the steering arms on the front suspension knuckles. Most of the models covered are equipped with power steering.
The steering column is designed on the principle of a safety column, which collapses in the event of a frontal impact. For this reason, when working on the steering column, proceed with extreme caution; no hammering or similar impacts are allowed in this area.
If you have some experience working with rack and pinion steering, you can safely start working.
