Installing a thermostat
Install the rubber ring onto the thermostat flange without distorting it.
Install a thermostat with a bypass valve (tag TOR) up.
Checking the Thermostat
Tie a string to the thermostat valve. Immerse the thermostat in a container of water. Start heating the water.
The valve opening temperature is the temperature at which the valve opens and falls off the thread.
While continuing to heat the water, check the valve lift height when fully open.
