Features of operation
When the air conditioner is running, keep the windows and sunroof closed.
If the car has been parked in the sun for some time in hot weather, you should ventilate the interior to cool it down faster. Open all the windows before driving. Close the windows after two or three minutes of driving.
To maintain the normal state of lubrication of the air conditioning system, it must be turned on for 10 minutes at least once a month.
If the coolant temperature gauge shows an elevated temperature in the engine cooling system, the air conditioner must be turned off. Details are provided in the section "Engine overheating".
Regardless of the position of the air recirculation button, air should always flow from the central and side fan openings. For more effective defogging of the side window, close the central fan nozzle and direct air from the side fan to the side window (applies to left-hand drive models).
Fan air filter
The air conditioning system is equipped with an air filter that traps dirt and dust particles. To maintain the efficient operation of the air conditioner, it is necessary to replace the filter regularly in accordance with the maintenance schedule. To replace the filter, contact your Nissan dealer.
The filter should also be replaced if ventilation is ineffective or if fogging of the windows is not eliminated while the air conditioner is running.
