Operation features
When the air conditioner is running, keep the windows and sunroof closed.
If the car has been exposed to the sun for some time in hot weather, the interior should be ventilated for faster cooling. Open all windows before driving. Close the windows after two or three minutes of movement.
To maintain the normal condition of the lubrication of the air conditioning system, it must be turned on for 10 minutes at least once a month.
If the arrow of the coolant temperature gauge shows an elevated temperature in the engine cooling system, then the air conditioner must be turned off. Details are provided in the section "Engine overheating".
Regardless of the position of the air recirculation button, air must always flow from the central and side openings of the fan. To more effectively defog the side window, cover the central fan nozzle and direct air from the side fan to the side window (applies to left hand drive models).
Fan air filter
The air conditioning system is equipped with an air filter that traps dirt and dust particles. To maintain efficient operation of the air conditioner, it is necessary to change the filter regularly in accordance with the maintenance schedule. To replace the filter, contact your Nissan dealer.
The filter should also be replaced in case of inefficient ventilation or demisting of the windows while the air conditioner is in operation.
