2. Carefully prying with a screwdriver, remove the old stuffing box from the seat in the holder.
3. Lubricate the crankshaft trunnion and lips of the new oil seal with multipurpose grease. The gland is seated using a mandrel, which can be used as an end head of the appropriate size, or a piece of pipe of a suitable diameter. As a last resort, just knock the gland into the socket with a blunt drift. Follow the perpendicularity of the gland in the socket.
Attention! The gland has fairly hard jaws that are easy to damage, be extremely careful! Landing is carried out no deeper than flush with the back of the holder.
4. Further installation is carried out in the reverse order to the dismantling of the components.
5. Start the engine and check for signs of oil leaks.
