Warning! If the car stereo system is equipped with a security code, make sure you have the correct combination to activate the audio system before disconnecting the battery!
2. Support the rear wheels of the car with wheel chocks and apply the parking brake.
3. Loosen the nuts securing the right front wheel. Jack up the front of the car and place it on supports, remove the right front wheel.
4. Remove the crankcase guard and the right front wheel arch protection liner.
5. Remove the drive belts (see Chapter Settings and ongoing maintenance).
6. Remove the crankshaft position sensor from the front timing drive cover (see Chapter Engine management systems).

7. Having blocked the crankshaft joint from turning using a chain or strap wrench, loosen the central bolt of its fastening.
8. Using screwdrivers or a large pry bar, pry the pulley from both sides and carefully remove it from the shaft journal. If necessary, use a 3-grip puller.
Attention! Place the puller jaws only under the hub portion of the pulley!
9. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Before installing the pulley on the shaft journal, ensure that the key is correctly aligned with the corresponding groove. Tighten the fastening bolt with the required force.
