Removal
- Remove the protective cover under the engine.
- Remove the right mudguard, right front wheel and engine side cover.
- Remove the accessory drive belts.
- Set the piston of the 1st cylinder to TDC of the compression stroke.
- To prevent the crankshaft from turning when loosening the pulley bolt, lock the pulley using a chain or strap wrench (1).
- If the bolt comes loose with the engine removed, secure the flywheel (1) with a large screwdriver (arrow).
- Unscrew the bolt and remove it together with the washer. Remove the pulley (2) from the crankshaft. If the pulley key has a loose fit, remove the key and store it with the pulley.

Installation
- Install the key (if it was filmed).
- Align the pulley groove with the key and place the pulley on the crankshaft, being careful not to damage the seal.
Caution: To fully seat the pulley, tap it in with a plastic hammer, striking the center of the pulley, not the circumference.
- Tighten the bolt with the washer.
- Secure the crankshaft from turning as described above and tighten the bolt to the specified torque in two stages:
Stage 1: torque 39.2-49.0 Nm. Place a mark (1) on the pulley at 60° from the edge of the bolt.
Stage 2, turn it 60°.
- Turn the crankshaft clockwise (if you look from the front) to check the uniformity of rotation (beating) of the pulley.
- Put on the belts and adjust their tension.
