Disassembly
- When removing parts from the shock absorber, make sure that the shock absorber piston rod is not damaged.
- Wrap the bottom of the shock absorber with a rag and secure the shock absorber in a vice.
Caution: Do not clamp the cylindrical part of the shock absorber in a vice.
- Secure the end of the piston rod so that it cannot turn and loosen the piston rod lock nut.
Main elements of the shock absorber
1 - outer washer; 2 — sleeve A; 3 - remote tube; 4 — shock absorber support; 5 — bushing B; 6 — cover of the limiting buffer; 7 - limiting buffer; 8 — shock absorber.
- Remove the outer washer, bushing A, spacer tube, shock absorber support, bushing B and limiter buffer cover from the shock absorber.
- Remove the limit buffer from the buffer cover.
- Inspect the stop buffer and bushing for cracks, deformations, or other damage. Replace if necessary.
Assembly
- Assembly is carried out in the reverse order of disassembly.
- When installing parts on the shock absorber, make sure that the shock absorber piston rod is not damaged.
- Tighten the new piston rod lock nut to 69-80 N·m, the mounting bolt at the bottom of the shock absorber to 100-120 N·m, and the mounting seal mounting nuts to 20-25 N·m.
- Lower the car.
