- Remove the hub cap and release the parking brake.
- Remove the brake caliper assembly and brake disc.

- Check the bearing axial clearance.
- Place a dial indicator on the outer surface of the hub and, by moving the hub in the axial direction, measure the axial clearance. The maximum permissible value is 0.05 mm.
- If the axial clearance value exceeds the maximum permissible value, it is necessary to tighten the hub nut to a torque of 100-150 N·m and then re-measure the axial clearance value.
- If the re-measured value is greater than the maximum permissible value, the rear hub assembly with the bearing must be replaced.
