Removal
- When removing parts, refer to the drawing NM. 17.001 at the beginning of the chapter.
- Raise the vehicle and support it securely.
- Remove the wheel.
- Remove the spring as described in the Lower Rear Link and Spring section.
- Remove the wheel speed sensor from the hub support and the sensor wiring harness from the suspension arm.
- Remove the stabilizer bar connecting rod mounting bracket from the suspension arm.
- Place a jack under the lower front link.

- Loosen the fuel filler pipe mounting bolt (only on the left side).
- Remove the nuts and bolts that connect the control arm and the rear suspension beam.
- Remove the suspension arm ball joint cotter pin.
- Loosen the nut (3) of the ball joint pin, but do not unscrew it from the pin completely. Using the puller (2), remove the ball joint pin from the front suspension strut (1). Be careful not to damage the ball joint boot.

Caution: To avoid damaging the ball stud, leave the nut on its threads.
To perform this work, you can make a puller yourself.

- Remove the lower control arm assembly
Examination
- Check the bushings for wear or damage.
- Check the lever for any deformation or damage.
- Check all bolts for wear or damage.
- Move the ball joint pin by hand and make sure it moves smoothly and without binding.
- Check the rotation torque of the stabilizer bar ball joint pin:

- Rock the ball joint pin a few times before installing the nut onto the threaded portion of the pin. Using a torque wrench (1), measure the value of the rotation torque of the ball joint pin of the anti-roll bar, which should be 0.5-3.4 N·m.
Note: The rolling resistance force is measured at the level of the cotter pin hole on the ball stud. Before measuring, rotate the gear pin in the hinge housing at least 10 times to ensure it is in the correct position.
- If the torque value exceeds the required value, replace the stabilizer bar.
- If the torque value is below the required value, check the ease of movement of the ball joint pin. If the finger does not jam, then the use of such a stand is permitted.
- The ball joint must be replaced if the ball pin is worn, swings with difficulty, or has increased axial clearance.

Required values: swing resistance force (A) - 8-54 N; torque resistance (B) - 0.5-3.4 Nm; axial displacement (C) - 0 mm.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
- Always use new nuts and tighten them pre-tight with final tightening after the vehicle is on the ground (in an unloaded state) required tightening torque.
- Tighten the lever mounting nuts to a torque of 95-115 N·m.
Caution: Final tightening of the rear suspension nuts is carried out after the vehicle has been lowered to the ground.
- Lower the vehicle and perform final tightening of the rear suspension arm mounting components with rubber bushings on an unloaded vehicle.
- Check the wheel alignment angles.
