Removal and installation
1. Loosen the drive shaft nut.
2. Disconnect the steering rod from the steering knuckle.
3. Loosen the bolts securing the telescopic strut to the steering knuckle.
4. Using light hammer blows, knock the drive shaft out of the hub. Wrap the drive shaft protective covers with rags to avoid damaging them when disconnecting the shaft.
5. Press the ball joint pin out of the steering knuckle using the HT72520000 puller.
6. Loosen the fastening nuts and bolts.

7. When installing the lever, the final tightening of the fasteners should be done when the vehicle is on the ground and fully equipped, but not loaded.
8. After installing the lower arm, check the front wheel alignment angles (see section "Checking the suspension parts on the car", "Front wheel alignment angles").
Examination
The lower arm should not have any damage, cracks or deformations. If any, replace the arm. The rubber bushings should not be worn, damaged or deformed. If their condition is unsatisfactory, replace the lower arm.
The ball joint should not have increased play. The lower arm is subject to replacement in the following cases:
- The ball pin is worn out.
- The hinge swings with difficulty.
- Excessive axial clearance in the joint.

The rolling resistance force is measured at the level of the cotter pin hole in the ball pin. Before measuring, rotate the ball pin in the joint housing at least 10 times to ensure that it is in the correct position.
The hinge protective cover must be replaced if damaged in any way. Replace the mounting clamp at the same time as the cover.
