Removal and installation
Loosen the bolts and nuts securing the telescopic stand (on the steering knuckle and under the hood).

Do not loosen the shock absorber rod nut on the vehicle.
Disassembly
1. Clamp the strut in a vice using special tool ST35652000, then loosen the shock absorber piston rod nut.
Do not remove the stem nut completely.
2. Compress the spring using special tools until the rubber element of the upper support of the strut can be turned by hand.

3. Remove the shock absorber rod nut.
Examination
Shock absorber. Check the smoothness of the rod movement under full compression and extension. Make sure there are no oil leaks through the rod seal and welds. The rod should not have deformations, cracks or other damage. Replace the shock absorber if necessary.
Upper support of the telescopic stand. There should be no cracks or other signs of damage on the rubber elements. The rubber should not peel off from the metal base.
Thrust bearing. When the bearing rotates, there should be no extraneous noise or excessive axial play. Replace the bearing if necessary. Coil spring. Check the spring for deformations, cracks, and other damage. Replace the spring if necessary.
Assembly
When installing on the rack, the spring should be positioned as shown in the figure.

When installing the upper spring cup, make sure it is positioned properly (see picture).
