Lower rear link and spring — removal and installation (Nissan Murano Z50)

Removal

When removing, refer to the drawing HM 17.001 at the beginning of the chapter.
Raise and securely support the vehicle.
Remove the wheel.
Place a jack under the lower rear link.
Loosen the bolt and nut connecting the lower rear link to the rear suspension beam, then remove the bolt and nut connecting the hub support and the lower rear link.
Slowly lower the jack and then remove the upper spring seat, spring and rubber seat from the lower rear link.
Remove the bolt and nut connecting the rear suspension beam to the lower rear link.
Check the lower rear link, bushing and spring for deformation, cracks and other damage. Replace the lower rear link and spring if necessary.

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Tighten the new nuts to 95-115 Nm.
Insert the 3 bracket tongues and the inner protrusion of the upper spring seat into each other in advance.
Align the cutouts on the rubber socket with the grooves on the lower rear link and connect the parts. Make sure the spring is not upside down. The top and bottom parts are marked with color marks.
After installation, lower the vehicle and perform final tightening of the beam mounting parts on an unloaded vehicle.
Check the wheel alignment angles.
