Maintenance schedule (Nissan Murano Z50)

The following maintenance schedule is based on the assumption that the car owner will perform the maintenance himself, rather than entrusting it to specialists. While vehicle time or mileage intervals are based on factory recommendations, most of them are shortened to ensure that tasks such as checking oil or other fluid levels and changing them are performed at intervals that maximize the life of the engine and vehicle itself. In addition, the car owner's interest in keeping their car in the best possible condition on a daily basis and the subconscious desire to eventually sell it are taken into account, so many maintenance operations can be performed more frequently than recommended. This initiative is supported.

Due to the fact that off-road vehicles require more frequent maintenance, a separate maintenance schedule is included for such vehicles.

While the car is new, it is best to have it serviced at a specialized Nissan center to protect the factory warranty.

Every 400 km or weekly, whichever comes first

• Check the engine oil level.
• Check the engine coolant level.
• Check the brake fluid level.
• Check the windshield washer fluid level.
• Check your tires and tire pressure.
• Conduct a driver safety system check.

Every 6,000 km or every 3 months, whichever comes first

All of the above and:

• Change engine oil and oil filter.
• Check the power steering fluid level.
• Check the CVT fluid level.
• Rotate the tires (wheels).

Every 12,000 km or every six months, whichever comes first

All of the above and:

• Check and replace underhood hoses.
• Check and adjust the drive belt.
• Check and service the battery.
• Lubricate the chassis.

Every 24,000 km or annually, whichever comes first

All of the above and:

• Check the differential oil level.
• Check the transfer case oil level.
• Replace the air filter.
• Check and replace the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve.
• Check the power supply system.
• Check the cooling system.
• Check the exhaust system.
• Check the brake system and lubricate the friction points of the caliper.
• Check and lubricate the rear wheel bearings (2WD models - front-wheel drive).
• Check and replace wiper blades.

Every 48,000 km or every 2 years, whichever comes first

All of the above and:

• Service the cooling system (drain, rinse with water and refill with coolant).
• Lubricate the CVT control lever.

Every 60,000 km or every 30 months, whichever comes first

• Change the transfer case oil.
• Lubricate the sliding forks of the cardan shafts.
• Check and replace the fuel filter.
• Change the CVT fluid and filter.

Every 170,000 km

• Replace platinum type spark plugs.
• Replace differential grease.

Off-road vehicle maintenance

• If the vehicle is driven off-road, perform the following maintenance items every 2,000 kilometers. If the car is driven through mud and water, they need to be done daily.
• Check the brakes.
• Check the exhaust system.
• Lubricate the universal joint and cardan shaft crosspiece (if there are grease fittings).

Under severe operating conditions: trailer operation, frequent cold engine starts, predominantly short-distance trips, driving on poor roads, high dust levels - service intervals are halved.
