Regular checking of valve clearances is not required and is performed when valve noise increases (see Chapter Engine).
Drive belts should be replaced if they are damaged or if the tensioner reaches its wear limit (see section Checking the condition of the auxiliary drive belt and adjusting its tension).
Checking the pre-catalytic lambda probe on models with Euro-OBD is not required.
The fuel filter is also not serviceable.
Annually or every 15,000 km
- Replacing the engine oil and oil filter (see section Changing engine oil and oil filter)¹;
- Checking the condition of the cooling system (see section Checking fluid levels, leak monitoring);
- Checking the installation of headlights (see section Checking headlight alignment);
- Checking the hydraulic drive of the brake system and clutch for leaks, checking the brake fluid level (see sections Checking fluid levels, leak monitoring and Checking the brake system and clutch);
- Checking the level and leaks of manual transmission oil (see section Checking fluid levels, leak monitoring);
- Checking ATF level and leaks (see section Checking fluid levels, leak monitoring)²;
- Checking the condition of the steering gear, steering rods, drive shafts, suspension components and exhaust system (see sections Checking the condition of the exhaust system - Checking the condition of the protective covers of the CV joints of the drive shafts)³;
- Checking the wheel alignment angles, rotating and balancing the wheels if necessary (see Chapter Suspension and steering);
- Checking the condition of the brake pads, discs and other components of the brake system (see Chapter Brake system and Section Checking the brake system and clutch)4;
- Checking the proper functioning and play of the clutch, service and parking brakes (see Chapter Brake system and Section Checking the brake system and clutch);
- Inspection of the body for scratches, abrasions, etc., as well as for damage to anti-corrosion materials (once a year);
¹ — When operating the vehicle in dusty conditions, when towing a trailer, during frequent short-distance trips and prolonged idling, the engine oil and oil filter should be replaced every 7500 km or 6 months.
² — When operating the vehicle on rough and dirty roads, in deserts, and also during frequent short-distance trips, ATF should be replaced every 30,000 km or 2 years (See Section Replacement of transmission oil AT and RKPP).
³ — When operating the vehicle in areas where salt or other corrosive materials are used, or in rough, muddy roads or deserts, the check should be performed every 7500 km or 6 months.
4 — When operating the vehicle in dusty and mountainous areas, in areas where salt or other corrosive materials are used, on rough and dirty roads and in deserts, when towing a trailer, and when braking frequently, the check should be performed every 7500 km or 6 months.
Every 2 years or 30,000 km
- Checking the condition of the fuel lines (see Chapter Fuel and exhaust systems and Section Checking the condition and replacing hoses and tubes in the engine compartment, localizing leaks);
- Replacing spark plugs (see section Replacing spark plugs);
- Checking the EVAP system purge lines (see Chapter Fuel and exhaust systems and Section Checking the condition and replacing hoses and tubes in the engine compartment, localizing leaks);
- Replacing the brake fluid (see section Replacing brake fluid and bleeding the brake system)¹;
- Checking the condition of the vacuum hoses, connections and brake booster check valve (see sections Checking the condition and replacing hoses and tubes in the engine compartment, localizing leaks and Checking the brake system and clutch);
- Replacing the cabin filter of the ventilation system (see section Replacing the cabin filter (ventilation systems))²;
- On models without Euro-OBD, check the condition of the pre-catalytic lambda probe (see Chapter Fuel and exhaust systems).
¹ — When operating the vehicle in mountainous areas and in areas with high humidity, the brake fluid should be replaced annually or every 15,000 km.
² — When operating the vehicle in dusty areas, the filter should be replaced annually or every 15,000 km.
Every 3 years or 45,000 km
- Checking the coolant level and antifreeze concentration (see section Checking fluid levels, leak monitoring). The next check should be carried out at 120,000 km (8 years), and then every 60,000 km mileage (4 years), i.e. in the middle of the interval between coolant changes;
Every 4 years or 60,000 km
- Replacing the air cleaner filter element (see section Replacing the air cleaner filter element). When operating the vehicle in dusty areas, the filter should be replaced every 2 years (30,000 km).
Every 6 years or 90,000 km
- Replacing the coolant (see section Replacing the coolant). Then the coolant should be replaced every 4 years (60,000 km mileage).
