Note: The brake light switch sensor is located on the brake pedal bracket under the instrument panel (see accompanying illustration).

Checking the correct functioning
1. Press the brake pedal and make sure the brake lights are on.
2. If the brake lights do not work, disconnect the wiring from the sensor switch.
3. Install a jumper wire between the terminals of the electrical connector. If the brake lights now turn on, you should adjust the sensor switch or replace it with a working one.
Removal
1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

2. Disconnect the electrical wiring from the sensor switch.
3. Loosen the lock nut and remove the switch sensor from the brake pedal bracket.
Installation
Installation is carried out in reverse order.
1. Check the quality of the contacts and the reliability of the electrical connector on the back of the switch.
2. Adjust the sensor switch.
Adjustment
1. Adjust the free height of the brake pedal.
2. Loosen the switch and adjust its position. Try to achieve a gap of 0.3÷1.0 mm between the stop and the end of the threaded part of the sensor-switch.
