The switch plunger is driven by a ratchet.
The switch is self-adjusting, to cock the switch, pull the plunger out fully.
Removal
1. Disconnect the battery from ground.
2. Remove the lower panel from the driver's side.
3. Remove the lower panel from the driver's side.

Installation
Pull out the plunger and install the switch in reverse order.
