Rear brake cables
There are 2 cables - left and right.
Removing
1. Raise the front of the car and place on stands.
2. Release the handbrake.
3. On the rear drum brakes, remove the pads and disconnect the cable from the lever, remove the spring and cable bracket (the arrows indicate the nuts of the brake bracket).
4. On rear disc brakes, remove the caliper.
5. Disconnect the end of the cable (arrow) from the caliper lever on the rear brakes.
6. Turn away nuts and bolts of fastening of brackets of a cover of a cable to the bottom.
7. Disconnect the cable from the balance roller at the front of the vehicle and remove the cable.
8. To access the roller, you will need to remove the heat shield.
Installation
1. The cable is installed in reverse order.
2. The protrusion on the cable bracket must fit into the recess in the caliper (disc brakes).
3. Adjust cable.
Front brake cables
Removing
1. Disconnect the battery from the ground.
2. Block the rear wheels and release the handbrake.
3. Remove the center section of the front panel.
4. Disconnect the connector from the handbrake warning light switch.
5. Count the number of threads to the nut, unscrew the nut and disconnect the adjusting bolt from the brake lever.
6. Raise the front of the car.
7. Disconnect the rear cables from the balance roller at the front of the vehicle and remove the cable.
8. Remove the front cables with equalizer and adjusting bolt through a hole in the floor.
Installation
1. The cable is installed in reverse order.
2. Loosen the nut by the pre-calculated number of threads, check the operation of the brake and adjust if necessary.
3. Before installation of the panel check up serviceability of the switch and a control lamp.
