Note: The instrument panel lower trim panel contains the instrument illumination intensity potentiometer, rear window heating switch and (with appropriate equipment) rear window wiper/washer mode switch.
Removal
1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
2. Carefully pry it off with a screwdriver (place a cardboard plate under the tip to protect the panel), remove the corresponding switch from the panel (see accompanying illustration).
3. Disconnect the electrical wiring at the rear and remove the switch.
Installation
Installation is carried out in reverse order.
Check the quality of the contacts and the reliability of the electrical connector on the back of the switch.
