Xenon headlights (for some vehicle variants)
Attention.
- During operation, xenon headlights are under high voltage. To avoid electric shock, do not modify or disassemble the headlights. Xenon headlights should always be repaired or replaced by an Authorized Nissan Dealer.
- Xenon headlights provide a much brighter beam of light than conventional ones. If they are out of adjustment, they can temporarily blind the driver of an oncoming or following vehicle, resulting in a serious accident. If the headlights are out of alignment, contact your authorized Nissan dealer immediately to have them adjusted.
When the xenon headlights are switched on for the first time, their brightness or light color may vary slightly. However, the brightness and hue of the light should soon stabilize.
The service life of xenon headlights will be shortened if switched on and off frequently. Therefore, it is advisable not to turn off the headlights if you need to turn them on again after a short period of time.
If a xenon headlight bulb is about to burn out, its brightness is significantly reduced, the light tint becomes reddish, and the headlight begins to flicker. If one or more of the symptoms listed above appear, contact an Authorized Nissan Dealer.
Nissan recommends that you check your local laws regarding the use of lights.

If you pull the lever towards you once, the headlights will stay on for about 30 seconds. After this time, the headlights turn off automatically.
The lever can be pulled up to four times to extend the headlight off delay to two minutes.
Note. The exit light function is canceled when the key or ignition switch is turned to «ACC» («Auxiliary consumers of electricity») or «ON» («Ignition on»).
Battery Discharge Prevention Function
This feature prevents the battery from draining if you leave the vehicle with the exterior lights, spotlights, or interior lights on. This function works when the ignition switch is in the «OFF» («Off») or «LOCK» («blocking»).
Note. The next time the engine is started, the exterior lights, reading lights or interior lights come on again.
Energy saving function for outdoor lighting fixtures
If the exterior lights are accidentally left on when the ignition is turned off, they will automatically turn off when the driver's door is opened.
It is possible to leave the exterior lights on permanently by using the headlight switch when the ignition switch is in the «LOCK» or «OFF». In this case, when the driver's door is opened, a gong will sound as a reminder.
Energy saving function for interior lighting
The interior lighting will automatically turn off after approximately 15 minutes if left on accidentally.
