Operations performed outside the vehicle
Doors, tailgate and hood
Check that all doors, the tailgate and the hood close properly. Check that all locks are functioning. If necessary, lubricate the hinges, latches, locks and stops of all doors and the hood. Make sure that the safety latch functions properly and does not allow the hood to open after the main hood lock has been released. If the car is used on roads treated with salt compounds, the above friction units should be lubricated regularly.
Lighting and light signaling devices*
Clean your headlights regularly. Check that all lighting and signaling devices are securely fastened and in good working order: headlights, brake lights, side lights, turn signals, etc. Also check the headlight adjustment.
Windshield
Clean your windshield regularly. Check your windshield at least every six months for cracks or other damage. Have a damaged windshield replaced only by an authorized Nissan dealer.
Windscreen wiper blades*
If the quality of windshield cleaning has deteriorated, inspect the wiper blades, paying attention to the presence of cracks and signs of wear on the rubber elements.
Tires*
Every time you fill up your car with fuel, check the air pressure in your tires using a pressure gauge (including spare tire). If necessary, increase the air pressure to the norm. Carefully inspect the tires, paying attention to the presence of damage, cuts and signs of severe wear.
Wheel rotation*
Nissan recommends changing the wheels every 10,000 km of mileage for a part-wheel drive car and every 5,000 km of mileage for a four-wheel drive car. However, the exact value of the interval between permutations depends on your driving style and road conditions.
Operations performed in the engine compartment and underneath the vehicle
The following inspection operations must be performed periodically (at the same time as checking the engine oil level or every time you fill up your car with fuel).
Battery*
Check the electrolyte level in each section of the battery. The electrolyte level should be between the "MAX" and "MIN" marks on the battery case. If the vehicle is operated at high temperatures or in severe conditions, the intervals between checks should be reduced.
Brake fluid and clutch hydraulic fluid*
Make sure that the fluid level is between the "MIN" and "MAX" marks, which are located on the wall of the brake master cylinder and clutch hydraulic drive reservoir.
Engine coolant level*
Check the coolant level when the engine is cold.
Drive belts for mounted units of the drill*
Make sure drive belts are not worn, damaged, cracked or oily.
Engine oil level*
Stop the car on a level horizontal surface, turn off the engine and after 10 minutes check the engine oil level.
Liquid leaks
Check for signs of fuel, oil, coolant and other fluid leaks under the car after it has been parked for a long time. Water dripping from the air conditioner after it has been turned off is not a sign of a malfunction. If you see any leaks of fluids or obvious gasoline fumes, find out the cause and fix it immediately.
Windshield Washer Fluid*
Check if there is enough fluid in the washer reservoir.
Operations performed inside the vehicle
The following operations should be performed regularly (for example, at the same time as maintenance or washing and cleaning the car).

Accelerator pedal
Check the pedal for smooth movement and make sure that it does not stick when pressed and does not require increased force to press the pedal. Make sure that the floor mat does not get under the pedal.
Brake pedal*
Check the pedal for smooth operation and make sure that when fully depressed there is sufficient clearance between the pedal and the floor. Check the functionality of the brake booster. Make sure that the floor mat does not get under the pedal.
Parking brake*
Check the working travel of the parking brake pedal/lever.
Seat belts
Check the security of the fastening and ensure that the seat belts are functioning properly (locks, regulators and inertia reels). The belt should wind and pull out of the inertia reel smoothly and without jamming. Inspect the belts, paying attention to the presence of cuts, signs of wear or other damage.
Steering
Check the steering wheel for play, smoothness of rotation and effort on the steering wheel, as well as signs of extraneous noise when turning the steering wheel.
Visual and audible alarms and indicators
Make sure that all alarms and indicators are functioning properly.
Windscreen heater
Make sure that the air from the heater is flowing in the right direction and in sufficient quantity both when the heater and the air conditioner are running.
Windscreen wiper and washer*
Make sure the wiper and washer are working properly and that the wiper does not leave streaks when operating.
