Note: The procedures below are described using the K9K engine version as an example. The operations for M9R engine versions are similar, taking into account the design features (see general view drawing above).
Removal
1. Remove the engine cover (1).
2. Remove the air intake hoses and pipes.
3. Remove the lower radiator cover.
4. Remove the air intercooler (1) from underneath the vehicle.
Attention.
- Avoid contact between the air-to-air cooler and the condenser.
- When removing the intercooler, cover the turbocharger and throttle valve opening with a rag or something similar.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
Apply neutral detergent (liquid) to the connection between the hoses and pipes (the oil is not suitable).
When installing the inlet hoses and pipes, pay attention to the identification marks and installation direction.
