Preparatory work
Remove the sliding door trim.
Remove the protective screen.
Note: If the screen is to be reused, do not cut off its butyl tape.
Remove the door outer molding.
Removal and installation
1. Use the power window switch to lower or raise the window so that the carrier mounting bolts are visible.
2. Unscrew the fixing bolts of the door glass guide (in the front and in the back).
3. Loosen the mounting bolts of the support element.
4. Insert the glass into the gap between the glass guide and the outer door panel (in front), lift the back of the glass, slide it outward and remove it.
5. Disconnect the power window connector assembly.
6. Turn off fixing bolts of a window regulator in gathering and take it through a working opening.
Examination
Check the power window assembly as indicated below. If abnormalities are found, replace or apply lubricant.
Check:
- is the mechanism worn out;
- Is the spring damaged?
- whether the window regulator is deformed;
- the state of lubrication in the sliding areas.
Apply lubricant (special grease No. 252) to the areas indicated by the arrows.
