Preparatory work
Remove the sliding door trim.
Remove the protective screen.
Note: If you reuse the screen, do not cut off the butyl tape.
Remove the outer door molding.
Removal and installation
1. Using the window switch, lower or raise the glass until the mounting bolts of the support element are visible.
2. Unscrew the door glass guide mounting bolts (front and back).
3. Unscrew the mounting bolts of the supporting element.
4. Insert the glass into the gap between the glass guide and the outer door panel (in the front), lift the back of the glass, slide it outward and remove it.
5. Disconnect the window regulator assembly connector.
6. Loosen the window regulator assembly mounting bolts and remove it through the working hole.
Examination
Check the window regulator assembly as follows. If any abnormalities are found, replace or lubricate.
Check:
- is the mechanism worn out?;
- is the spring damaged?;
- is the window regulator deformed?;
- the condition of the lubricant in the sliding areas.
Apply grease (special grease No.252) to the areas indicated by the arrows.
