Protection against pinching by window lifters (Nissan Serena C24)

If an object gets caught between the glass and the door frame while the driver's window is closing, the glass will automatically stop and then lower slightly.

The protection is triggered in the following cases:

• During automatic closing using the AUTO switch.
• When closing the window after turning the ignition key to the OFF position.

Caution: The anti-pinch mechanism does not operate when the glass is almost completely closed. Be careful not to pinch your fingers.

Note:

If the anti-pinch mechanism fails and the window does not close automatically, lightly pull the AUTO switch on the window until the window is completely closed.

While driving, the anti-pinch mechanism may be triggered by a foreign object hitting the glass.
