Crankshaft axial play — check (Nissan Serena C24)

Using a dial indicator, measure the clearance between the thrust bearing and the crank arm by moving the crankshaft back and forth.

• Standard clearance: 0.10-0.25 mm
• Maximum clearance: 0.3 mm

If the measured value exceeds the specified limit, replace the thrust bearing and re-measure. If the clearance is still greater than the limit, replace the crankshaft.
