Removal
1. Disconnect the battery from ground.
2. Turn away from the coil (located on the left side of the cylinder head) high voltage wire.
3. Disconnect the connector.
4. Remove the nuts and bolts and remove the coil (indicated by arrows).
Examination
1. Check the resistance between the + and - terminals, between the + terminal and the high-voltage wire, compare with the standard values (resistances are given for 20°C).
2. Check the circuit between the high voltage wire and the body.
3. If any faults are found, replace the coil.
Installation
Installation is carried out in reverse order.
