1. Remove the tray (Chapter 7).
2. Remove the timing belt and tensioner mechanism (Chapter 5).
3. Unscrew the bolt and remove the oil drain pipe and mesh filter.
4. Remove the crankshaft toothed pulley. Remove the woodruff key and inner guide plate.
5. Unscrew and remove the oil pump from the crankcase.
6. Check the oil pump as described in Chapter 18, replace if necessary.
7. Always replace the oil seal before installing the oil pump. Use a new gasket.
8. Before installing the pump, align the internal gear with the washers on the crankshaft. Cover the crankshaft axle with tape to prevent damage to the seal. Remove the tape when the pump is installed (photo).

9. Install the inner guide plate, crankshaft woodruff key and sprocket until the mark is visible (photo).

10. Install the oil suction tube and strainer together with a new gasket and tighten the bolts (photo).

11. Install the tensioner and drive belt (Chapter 5).
12. Install the tray (Chapter 7).
