Lubricating fluid and air conditioner refrigerant (if it is installed on the car). The air conditioning system of this vehicle must be filled with R-134a (HFC-134a) refrigerant and Nissan Type S air conditioning oil or its exact equivalent must be used as the lubricant. Use of any other refrigerants or lubricants will cause the entire air conditioning system to fail and require its complete replacement.
It is not recommended to release refrigerant into the atmosphere. The new type of refrigerant R134a (HFC-134a) used in Nissan vehicles cannot damage the ozone layer of the Earth, however, it does affect the process of global warming. Therefore, Nissan recommends that the refrigerant be recovered and recycled in accordance with the established procedure.
