Refrigerant and lubricants for air conditioning systems (Nissan Qashqai J10)

The air conditioning system in your vehicle must be filled with HFC-134a (R134a) refrigerant. Nissan Air Conditioning Oil Type R or a full equivalent must be used to lubricate the system. Using any other refrigerant or oil will cause serious damage to the air conditioning system, which may require a complete replacement of the system.

Discharging refrigerants into the atmosphere is prohibited in many countries and regions. The refrigerant HFC-134a (R-134a) used in your vehicle does not destroy the ozone layer of the Earth's atmosphere, but its release into the atmosphere may affect global warming processes on Earth. Nissan recommends that you properly refill and dispose of refrigerant. For air conditioning service, contact an authorized Nissan dealer.
