CAREFULLY! Do not leave children, disabled people or pets in the car. As a result of careless actions, they can harm themselves. In addition, on hot sunny days, the temperature in a closed car can quickly rise and become dangerous or even fatal to people and animals.
Traffic fumes (carbon monoxide)
Do not inhale exhaust fumes. They contain colorless and odorless carbon monoxide, which is hazardous to health. If it enters the lungs, it causes loss of consciousness, and with prolonged exposure, death.
If you suspect that exhaust gases are getting into the car interior, you should immediately open all windows and inspect the car after stopping.
Do not run the engine in enclosed spaces (like in the garage).
Do not let the engine idle for a long time.
Do not stay inside a parked car with the engine running for a long time.
In the event of a forced stop for a long time with the engine running, turn on the fan to ensure fresh air enters the passenger compartment.
Three stage converter (if available)
The catalytic converter is integrated into the exhaust system and is designed to afterburn the exhaust gases at high temperatures in order to reduce the amount of pollutants in them. In addition, the catalytic converter is one of the most important components of the electronic engine control system.
The exhaust gas and parts of the exhaust system have a high operating temperature. Keep people and flammable materials away from the exhaust pipe while the engine is running.
Do not park your vehicle over flammable materials such as dry grass, or pieces of paper or cloth.
When parking, make sure that people and flammable materials are not near the exhaust pipe.
To avoid damage to the converter
Use ONLY UNLEADED GASOLINE of the brand specified in section "Recommended fuel" chapters "Technical information". The use of leaded gasoline will damage the catalytic converter.
Do not use leaded gasoline. The residue formed from leaded gasoline significantly reduces the effectiveness of the catalytic converter in reducing the emission of harmful substances into the atmosphere.
The engine must be kept in tune. Malfunctions in the ignition, carburetor, or electrical systems can allow rich fuel residue to enter the converter, causing it to overheat. Do not continue to operate the vehicle if there are frequent interruptions in the ignition system, with a significant decrease in speed characteristics, or other unusual changes associated with the operation of the engine. In such cases, have your Nissan dealer inspect the vehicle immediately.
Avoid operating the vehicle with insufficient fuel in the fuel tank. Otherwise, the resulting interruptions in the ignition system can damage the catalytic converter.
After starting a cold engine, do not sharply increase the speed.
If the engine does not start from the battery, do not start it by towing the car.
