2. Set the gear lever to position "N" (neutral) and depress the clutch pedal all the way.
3. Turn the ignition key to position "ON" and wait until the glow plug indicator goes out "".
4. After the glow plug indicator goes out, start the engine by turning the ignition key to the "START". In this case, the foot must be removed from the accelerator pedal. After the engine starts, release the key.
- The duration of continuous operation of the starter should not exceed 20 seconds. If the engine does not start within this time, wait 20 seconds before turning the starter on again. Continuous operation without interruption will result in starter failure.
- In extremely cold or hot weather, starting the engine may be difficult. In this case, the start should be made with the accelerator pedal depressed.
5. After starting, let the engine idle for at least 30 seconds.
