ATTENTION! Do not stop the vehicle over flammable materials such as dry grass, scraps of paper or cloth.
To ensure the safety of parking, it is necessary to apply the parking brake and correctly set the gear.
1. Pull up the parking brake lever firmly.
2. For manual transmission models: Move the gear lever to reverse (REVERSE position). When parking on an uphill slope, place the lever in first gear.
For models with automatic transmission: Move the shift lever to the position "R" (parking).
ATTENTION! With this method of parking, excessive pressure on the drive axle is eliminated, which can cause difficulty when shifting gears from the position "R". Move the shift lever forward as far as possible and make sure that it can only be shifted to any other position by pressing the button on the lever handle.
3. Turn the ignition key to position "LOCK" and pull it out.
CAREFULLY!
- It is forbidden to leave the car with the engine running.
- Do not leave children unattended in the car.
When parking on a sloping road, turn the wheels so that in the event of a sudden start of movement, the car does not enter the carriageway.
(1) ON A DOWN SLOPE: Turn the wheels toward the curb and, releasing the brakes, let the machine roll forward until the wheel touches the curb. Then set the parking brake.
(2) ON A SLOPE: Turn the wheels away from the curb and, releasing the brake pedal, let the car roll backwards until the wheel touches the curb. Then set the parking brake.
(3) ON A SLOPE UP OR DOWN WITH NO CURB: Turn the wheels towards the curb so that the vehicle will move away from the center of the road when driving. Then set the parking brake.
Precautionary measures
Leaving the car in the parking lot:
- Always take the ignition key with you, even when the car is left in the garage.
- Completely close all windows and lock all vehicle doors.
- The car should be parked where it will be clearly visible. Park your car in well-lit areas at night.
- Activate the anti-theft alarm or locking devices even if you leave the vehicle only for a short time.
- Do not leave children and pets unattended in the car.
- Do not leave valuables in plain sight. Take them with you or lock them in the trunk.
- Do not leave the technical passport and other documents in the car. If the car is stolen, these documents will help the thief sell it.
- Do not leave items on the roof rack. Lock them in the trunk or leave them in the cabin.
- Do not leave a spare key in the car. Keep it in a safe place at home.
- Do not leave a key number tag in the car. The thief can get into the car and, having learned the key number, subsequently steal the car with the help of a duplicate made.
