2. Remove the wheel.
3. Remove the self-locking device.
4. Remove the retaining ring from the axle shaft journal.
5. Remove washer and leash B.
6. Unscrew the bolts securing the axle shaft to the gearbox (photo).
3.6 Apply marks to the sliding joint housing and the gearbox housing, then unscrew the bolts
7. Unscrew the lower shock absorber bolt.
8. Remove the caliper (Ch. 10), move to the side and secure.
9. Disconnect the steering rod.
10. Lightly lift the lower arm with a jack. Unscrew the nuts and bolts and disconnect the ball joints of the arms. Carefully remove the half shaft assembly with the steering knuckle.
11. Knock the axle shaft out of the knuckle (photo).

12. If defects are found on the parts, disassemble the axle shaft (see below).
13. Installation is performed in the reverse order. Check the axial play of the axle shaft (photo). If the play exceeds the norm, select a retaining ring by thickness (see Technical data).
