Removal
1. Disconnect the hydraulic tube fittings from the cylinder (photo), plug the tubes.
5.1 The damper cylinder is secured to the engine compartment bulkhead with two screws
2. Remove the two screws and remove the cylinder.
Disassembly
3. Unscrew the bolts and remove the cover, remove the remaining parts (photo).
5.3 Damping cylinder parts
1. Lid; 2. Gasket; 3. Cylinder; 4. Bleeding nipple; 5. Inner surface of the cylinder; 6. Spring; 7. Cuff; 8. Piston; 9. Damper thrust surface; 10. Rubber damper
4. Wash all parts in clean brake fluid.
5. Check the condition of the inner surface of the cylinder. If corrosion or scratches are found, replace the cylinder.
6. Check the clearance between the cylinder and the piston. If the clearance exceeds 0.15 mm, replace the piston or cylinder, selecting parts so that the clearance complies with the norm.
7. When assembling, wet the piston and cylinder with clean brake fluid. Make sure all rubber parts are installed correctly.
Installation
8. Install the cylinder in reverse order.
9. Bleed the clutch hydraulic drive (see below).
10. Adjust the height and free travel of the pedal (Ch. 1).
