Bleeding the hydraulic system (Nissan Patrol Y60)

1. Jack up the front of the car and place it on supports.

2. Make sure the master cylinder reservoir is filled with clean hydraulic fluid.

3. Connect a section of transparent hose to the clutch slave cylinder bleeder valve. Place the other end of the hose in a transparent container partially filled with clean hydraulic fluid.

4. Depress the clutch pedal and open the bleed valve. Close the valve and slowly release the pedal.

5. Repeat the procedure in the previous paragraph until clean, air-bubble-free hydraulic fluid begins to flow out of the cylinder.

6. Remove the hose, lower the vehicle to the ground and test drive it to ensure the clutch is functioning properly.
