Anti-roll bar mount on the underside of the vehicle. On the left, the rod of a car with an injection engine
1 - connecting rod; 2 - nut, 42-52 Nm; 3 - mounting clamp; 4 - bolt, 40-50 Nm; 5 - anti-roll bar; 6 - rubber bushings
The mounting of the anti-roll bar on the ball joint on a model with an injection engine can be seen on illustrations (positions 5 to 7). On a model with a carburetor engine, the rod connection is shown in illustrations. The illustration above shows a different stabilizer bar mount. When removing, proceed as follows:
1. Put the front of the car on stands.
2. Loosen the stabilizer link as shown in the illustration Top wishbone mounting or Mounting the anti-roll bar on a carburetor model.
3. Unscrew both collars of the stabilizer on the left and right sides of a bar and take out the stabilizer from the forward party of a body. The illustration shows the mounting points in the case of an installed injection engine. Immediately after removal, check the stabilizer and both mounting clamps. The stabilizer has a color designation and the mounting collars with their edges must lie in line with the colored lines. The mounting clamps are open on one side. This side should face the rear of the vehicle.
The anti-roll bar is attached to the suspension in the places indicated by arrows.
4. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Some guidelines should be followed:
5. Attach the mounting collars and rubber feet as instructed above and screw on the collars. Do not tighten the bolts yet.
6. When installing the connecting rod, insert the ball joint and tighten it so that the pin is at a right angle to the rod. Do not twist the hinge. Tighten the hinge nuts with a force of 41-51 Nm.
7. When tightening the nut (5) (see illustration) or nuts (4) on illustrations install the wrench on the hexagon, approximately in the middle of the rod, as shown in the fragment (A) (see illustration below), so that it doesn't rotate.
When tightening the nuts, hold the stabilizer bar as shown in the fragment "A".
8. When the vehicle is back on its wheels, tighten the mounting clamps.
