Description
After turning the ignition key to the OFF position, the timer runs for 15 minutes, during which time the windows can be operated using the switch on the driver's side. However, when opening (door switch in the ON position) or when the driver's door is closed (OFF) or when an input signal is received to turn the ignition key from the OFF position to the ON position, the timer is turned off.
If foreign objects are detected between the driver's door glass and the frame, the glass is automatically lowered by approximately 150 mm.
Note: The window lifter's protective function may be activated spontaneously while the vehicle is moving if, due to jolts and vibrations, the glass experiences loads similar to those recorded when foreign objects hit it.
Working conditions:
- Ignition key in the ON position, glass in the position just before the extreme upper or lower points.
- The ignition key is in the ON position, the window lift operates in automatic mode.
- The ignition key is in a position other than ON, the timer is running, or while the power windows are operating in manual mode.
