Removal
1. Turn on the wiper motor and turn it off in the auto-stop position, turn the ignition key to the OFF position.
2. Remove the left and right wiper arms from the vehicle.
3. Remove the hood top cover.
4. Unscrew the fastening nuts of the steering axles.
5. Disconnect the rod from the electric motor.
6. Loosen the motor mounting screws, disconnect the wiring connector and remove the motor from the vehicle.
Attention:
Do not bend the wiper rods.
Do not drop the motor or hit it against other parts.
Check for grease on adjacent engine parts and wiper rods. Apply grease if necessary. Use special Nissan MP #2 grease for this purpose (KRB0012025).
Installation
1. To install, perform steps 3-6 in the reverse order of removal.
2. Turn on the electric motor and turn it off in the auto-stop position.
3. Install the wiper arms (left and right), secure them with fastening nuts.
4. Adjust the position of the wiper arm autostop.
Disassembly and assembly
Using a screwdriver or similar tool, remove the pivot pin from the motor rod in the direction indicated by the arrow in the figure.
Attention:
Do not bend the wiper rods.
Check for grease on adjacent engine parts and wiper rods. Apply grease if necessary. Use special Nissan MP #2 grease for this purpose (KRB0012025).
